Have you recovered from yesterday's madness yet?

Defending champion Carlos Alcaraz's dramatic recovery from two sets and three championship points down to beat Jannik Sinner in an incredible French Open men's singles final will live long in the memory.

Sunday's blockbuster, which broke the record for the longest French Open final in history, was the first Grand Slam men's final to feature two players born in the 2000s.

It was a fifth major triumph for Alcaraz, 22, who has now shared the sport's past six major titles with Italy's world number one Sinner, 23.

If any doubt remained, this was confirmation of the dawn of a new era in men's tennis.

"The nerves hit me a little bit, I'm not going to lie, but it was an unbelievable opener for me. On this court, with you guys cheering me on, it was a special moment.

"It's an unbelievable feeling to get that win. First grass tournament, first match, I was nervous going into that one and I knew it was going to be far from easy but it is one of my best matches.

"The last year has been crazy. It is not what I thought would happen, especially not [climbing the rankings] as fast, but I am handling the bigger occasions better.

"I'm going at my own pace in this crazy sport."

It was straight to the press room for British doubles duo Katie Boulter and Emma Raducanu, and it's clear they genuinely enjoyed that first outing together.

When asked what the hopes are for their partnership, Raducanu gave the diplomatic answer - saying "we're just going to keep trying to do as best as we can this week and take it from there."

But Boulter was having none of that and jokingly said: "Scrap what she said, we're going for the Wimbledon title'.

That friendly rapport was evident on court, too and asked why they have chosen now to come together they said there's been a few "close calls" where they have almost teamed up as a doubles pair - in Madrid and Miami.

It could be an all-British affair in the quarter-finals if Jodie Burrage and Sonay Kartal beat top seeds Lyudmyla Kichenok and Erin Routliffe on Tuesday.
