England captain Nat Sciver-Brunt: "I'm feeling great. It was my first 50-over game for a while but the team did brilliantly.

"The openers read the conditions really well. It was a bit tacky at the start but they did brilliantly and caught up and accelerated really well. It set us up for a great score.

On Linsey Smith: "She bowled brilliantly. She waited for a while to get the ball in her hand but she keeps the pressure on so well.

"I am most proud of the way we have settled in with so many changes and committing to what we wanted to do which is huge partnerships and strong batting.

"We could have fielded better, the outfield made it difficult but we can't dip on our energy. It will be something to improve for next time however."

Player of the Match Amy Jones: "I feel pretty good. I was very excited to get the chance to bat at the top of the order again. It was great fun out there with Tam [Tammy Beaumont].

On batting at the top: "It is a chance to go out there and set the tone. I enjoy batting in the middle also, to bat anywhere for this England team is a great privilege. I am just really happy with how it went today.

"They bowled well at the top, the ball was doing a little bit but we made the most of a batting wicket.

"It was a brilliant convincing win and everyone is happy with winning the first game in the series, it will put us in good stead."

Linsey Smith became only the second England player to take five wickets on debut, finishing with figures of 5-36.

West Indies captain Hayley Matthews: "It was pretty hard out there. The [England] openers played really well and were super disciplined. We weren't able to find a breakthrough until later on when they were set for a pretty big total."

Asked what her side could have done differently: "The boundary balls. We were able bowl lot of dot balls in the innings. It would have been over 50% but way too many boundary balls throughout the innings."

On Qiana Joseph's fifty: "It was really good to see. She didn't have the best start to this tournament but to come out like that and rectify the way her tour has been going is definitely a big plus for us. If we see it more often it will do wonders for the team."

On what the team can take into the second match: "We can still take a lot of positives from today. Getting to the total we got to with so many young girls in the team does say a lot. If we can tighten up a few areas in the bowling it will be a much more competitive game."

Four more for Aaliyah Alleyne, jumping and cutting Em Arlott's short ball for four.

It's not quite as elaborate as Tammy Beaumont's version in the first innings - let's take another look at that, shall we?

They're not far from both.

For the second over in a row, the first ball of Lauren Bell's over goes for four, with Aaliyah Alleyne's cover drive bouncing just in front of Nat Sciver-Brunt to deceive the England skipper and head on to the boundary.

She adds two more with a cut to point that, again, bounced just in front of Alice Capsey.

Did the England fielder get a fingertip on that? Hard to say, and no real need to dwell on it at this stage.

Karishma Ramharack is the last batter of the hutch.

She fails to score from the last three balls of the over, but not for want of trying, taking a big swipe at Em Arlott's last delivery.

England's opening bowler Lauren Bell returns for her fifth over.

Fletcher cuts her first ball out to the boundary, Emma Lamb tries to cut the four off but her knee makes with the rope.

Two balls later, the tailender gets another boundary in a similar area, this time beating the dive of Lamb.

Afy Fletcher is the new batter, she comes onto strike for the second half of Charlie Dean's over and picks up a single towards mid-wicket.

Dean is now finished with figures of 0-38.
