First pick: Cam Ward seems almost certain to go first off the board to the Tennessee Titans.

Travis Hunter: By consensus the two-way star will be chosen second, but maybe not to Cleveland who currently hold that pick as the Browns are open to trade talks.

Shedeur Sanders: The Colorado QB is either an asset or a problem being Deion Sanders' son, depending on what team you ask. He could go at three to the Giants, nine to the Saints or 21 to the Steelers - or maybe not get drafted tonight at all!

Ashton Jeanty: A powerhouse running back some believe is the best player in the draft has long been linked with the Raiders, but the Jaguars now look favourites.

NFL Draft: Bills pick former rugby union player Travis Clayton

A handful of athletes will be hoping to emulate Travis Clayton over the course of the weekend.

The Englishman was a surprise pick in the seventh round of last year's draft and spent last season developing his game with the Buffalo Bills.

The former rugby union player had impressed Buffalo scouts after coming through the International Player Pathway and became just the second IPP graduate to be drafted after Australia's Jordan Mailata, who became a Super Bowl winner two months ago.

From this year's IPP group, UK pair Dante Barrett and Mapalo Mwansa are eligible for the draft, along with Ireland's Ross Bolger.

New York Jets linebacker Jermaine Johnson, 2022 first-round pick (26th overall), speaking to BBC Sport:

"You’ve been thinking about this moment your whole life, you’ve been working towards it your whole life. Your loved ones have been sacrificing so many things so that you can get to this moment so there’s a lot of nerves, excitement and anticipation.

"I know for me it was more excitement - I knew I’d worked my butt off to get there and I knew I was going to be OK with how it played out.

"And I had a pretty good idea I was going to the Jets."

The draft is divided into seven rounds - the first taking place tonight, rounds two and three on Friday and four to seven on Saturday.

All 32 teams have one pick in each round, going in the reverse order of the previous season's standings, unless they have agreed trades.

As it stands, no first-round picks have been traded for the 2025 draft so each team will have one pick in this year's first round.

The Tennessee Titans had last season's worst record so they will go first with the Super Bowl winners, the Philadelphia Eagles, going last.

The projected number one pick tends to get the most attention in the build-up to the NFL Draft.

This year, though, it seems Cam Ward has barely had a mention.

The 'unicorn' Travis Hunter and 'nepo baby' Shedeur Sanders have been the main talking points leading into this weekend's event in Green Bay.

The pair have been team-mates for the past three years, becoming two of the biggest stars in US college sport.

Now the uncertainty over their next step has helped make this one of the most intriguing drafts in years.Read Ben Collins' full draft preview.
