Lewis Richardson hopes to fight again as soon as possible after making a winning start to his professional career.
The Olympic bronze medallist outpointed Dmitri Protkunas over six rounds on the undercard of Fabio Wardley's heavyweight clash with Justis Huni at Portman Road on Saturday.
It was his first contest since losing to Marco Verde in the Olympic semi-finals in Paris last August.
"I'm happy with how the performance went, but also the whole event," the 28-year-old middleweight from Colchester told BBC Essex.
"It was a fantastic occasion, the ring walk in particular was really special for me. My name got announced, I could hear the crowd and feel the energy - I knew I'd done well on tickets but it felt like the whole stadium got behind me."

Richardson recently signed to Frank Warren's Queensberry Promotions and has set the goal of winning a world title.
"They were really happy with the performance and the way I conducted myself throughout fight week. We got a lot of positive from the promoters, but also media outlets, which is fantastic," he said.
"We've got a meeting in the next few days to hopefully get another fight date booked in. I'd hope to have an announcement in the next couple of weeks."
Richardson insisted that he had not been distracted by rain which came down during the evening in Ipswich.
"Some of the boxers got soaked walking to the ring but luck was on my side because I was to remain dry," he added.
"There were a couple of little spells when I was actually boxing that a few of the fans might have got a little bit wet, but one thing we can't control in the UK is the weather. It definitely didn't dampen my mood."
